After 29 Years Together, Mzee Ojwang and Mama Kayai Find A New Home (Photo)
Mzee Ojwang (Benson Wanjau) and Mama Kayai (Mama Kayai) met 34 years ago on the set of Darubini, a show that ran for 5 years before its untimely demise.
Darubini was then replaced by Vitimbi which will be celebrating its 29th birthday.
29 years running for one show is no small fete, it takes legends to pull that off and trust and believe Mama Kayai and Mzee Ojwang’ are legends.
Vitimbi is still as entertaining today as it was two decades ago; if that is not an impressive accomplishment then I don’t know what is. Now Mama Kayai and the cast of Vitimbi have found a new home at Maisha Magic on DStv, Channel 161.
